Fees

All fee prices listed are for a standard 50 minute sessions. Longer session times can be requested or may be recommended for specific treatment sessions or situations.

  • Individual therapy session: $300

    *Eligible for Medicare rebate of $149.05 per session (i.e. out-of-pocket cost = $150.95),

  • Couples/ Family therapy session: $350

  • Clinical supervision: $230

Sydney clinical psychology fee

  • To be eligible for the Medicare rebates, you need to have a GP referral to see a Clinical Psychologist under a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP).

    With the MHCP, you can access the Medicare rebate of $149.05 per session (i.e. the out-of-pocket cost for a standard session becomes $150.95), for up to 10 individual sessions per calendar year.

    Couples or family therapy are not eligible for Medicate rebates.

  • International students who have been referred by their GP under Mental Health Care Plan are usually eligible for the equivalent of Medicare refunds from their OSHC insurers. It is recommended that you ask your OSHC insurer for more details.

    For private health insurance holders, please check with your private insurer to see if you are covered for psychological services.

  • At 52 Blue Psychology, we offer reduced-fee sessions for individuals with financial hardships.

    Reduced Fee: $250 per session

    *With a GP referral and MHCP the out-of-pocket cost per session is $100.95.

Cancellation Policy

We understand rescheduling your appointment may be necessary from time to time. We do our best to be flexible, however last-minute cancellations can be challenging to accommodate due to the nature of psychology sessions. Cancellations with less than 2 business days notice will incur a cancellation fee as follow:

  • Cancellations made within 24 hours notice (Monday-Friday) will incur the full session fee.

  • Cancellation within 48 hours of your appointment time will incur 50% of the appointment fee.

Please be aware that no rebates are paid by Medicare for missed appointments.

To help you avoid this, you will receive an email reminder 5 days before your appointment and a reminder text the day prior. If unexpected circumstances arise that prevent you from providing us adequate notice, please email us on info@52bluepsychology.com and we will meet each circumstance on its merits.
